Knew that would get your attention. Having broke the drive side drop out on my S-Works (more Clydesdale Joy) I'm trying to locate a 2003 Axis frame in 61. Any ideas where to shop?

thx

This is almost poetic...

It looks like Bianchi's website only lists 5 shops in the 619 area code, and a few more in Orangutang Co; unfortunately, I can't vouch for any of 'em, since they're way outside my turf. Even if you were to go as far as L.A., there aren't many dealers who carry/carried them, esp. in that size. If you get desperate enough to look that far away, I can recommend some shops where I bought mine.

They really
i are
great bikes...just ask us nuts.

How 'bout a Cross Concept? The frame itself goes for $1049 and a dealer in my area, called Sun Bike, handles them. Also, the US distributor is in the Norcal area, too, in Hayward.
But it's not Celeste. (nm)TFerguson

any orders now for an Axis will be the 04. It has more celeste than any of the previous axis models. It does come with a triple though.

Also, I overheard from a few guys after today's race, that the new '04 Axis' were going $800 and have a carbon rear seatstays.
They seemed to be the preferred production cross bike, from checking out what people at the past two races.
I looked around the NCNCA website but the only Bianchi for sale was a 52cm.
Bianchi has a bulletin board, (http://lists.bianchiusa.com/)
that might give you some info on a used frame.

Hey, I just sold my 02 axis due to it being too large. Could you elaborate on what the 04 looks like? Triple Sugino, or something else? Thanks for the help!

From what I have heard and seen, the seatstays were carbon with canti posts. The cranks looked to be Shimano Ultegra with two rings.
However, the bike Isaw, was a Cross Concept so the cranks on a new '04 Axis may be different.

by my posts you should all know by now what a Luddite I am. I couldn't bring myself to own a Bianchi in anything but Celeste (or combo of colors based on Celeste). I'm hoping to replace my busted frame, which is my do-all bike and by all the posts I've been involved with regarding this if you guys like them so much there must be something to them. I know you think I've argued against Bianchi but I just argued against for ..that person. Hell I like ALUMINUM, so I don't have the issues I've posted against. I try to be unbiased to brand in my suggestions, but a company that instills such loyalty is cool. (I used to own an all Celeste Steel Bianchi but I've never been a purist). Ionly need the frame so I'll check that one site. I'll also look int the 04's. thx for your help and keep an eye out.

Well, here's what I know. My team is sponsored by Bianchi and also a shop that is a Bianchi dealer. I was looking to build up a cross bike, so the manager/my teammate was telling me that the bike I order will be an 04. He shows me a pic of the 04, but there were no specs attached. From what we could tell, the paint job is similar to the 03 in design, but the colors are different. It is split, with one color dominating from about 1/2 down the top & down tubes back. for 04, that is ALL celeste. The head tube area i believe is dark blue. there are bits of red around the logo decal. Spec-wise, all we could see was a triple Sugino and everything else looks to be about the same. I will let you all know though that this is all from memory and what we could see from a fairly small picture 2 or so weeks ago.
