Should I put the Time ATAC cleat with the star on the right or the left shoe?

Thanks for your help.

Default is star on left shoe (I think).

But I can't remember if that means bigger or smaller angle of release. That's where mine is and I haven't had any problems.

I file the angled, rear-facing lug of the cleats to make them symmetrical before attaching them. Release is much better it's much less likely to "go down with the ship". Go to www.speedgoat.com and look at their cleats (scroll down past all the pedals). Don't over-do it. Don't file to a knife edge- make the filed edge about like a folded over 3x5 card.

Not my trick- just passing it along. Or get the cleats from Speedgoat.

I keep to the left star (easier release) for cx. I also sometimes, like the previous like a 'softer' left cleat. usually just use a slightly used cleat from my mtb set.
last thing you want at 16 mph's coming into a barrier is a sticky left foot.
