Help,
I am in the process of upgrading my Cross Check and have run into a snafu.

I put a new Sram R9 12-26 casset on my Schimano 105 rear hub. Now the chain rubs the frame (I think the part is the seat stay). What can I do to fix this. I do not want to go back to 8 speed!!

Thanks for the help,
Derf

I took it to my LBS and he added a washer the pushed the dropout out a bit. No more problems.

The only real way that adding a washer will help is to take one off the left side and add it to the right side of the hub. That way the same drop-out spacing is maintained. Without seeing the setup, there is no way to determine the solution to your problem.

Atombomber,
I am nopt worried about the drop out spacing. I am running a 130 hub in Surly's 132.5 drop outs, so a small washer is not going to hurt anything.

It is off center by 1/2 the width of the washer. Easiest fix is to add another to the other side.
