Doh! Ever missed the obvious when fixing something?skinl19

In an earlier post I commented how my rear Tektro levers didn't seem to feel smooth and required way too much effort on my new/used S-Works CX. I changed cables, modified the rear hanger, tried different brake levers but no luck. Finally today as I was adjusting things again I thought that the canti's sure did have a lot of spring tension when I was trying to hold them while tightening the cable screw. Aha! I thought, move the springs on the mount to another hole. No luck, couldn't move them because the adjuster screws were all the way in and the pins couldn't reach them. Doh! The adjuster screws were all the way in! Back them out to relieve tension and voila, smooth and easy cable pull. Sometimes we just overlook the obvious. At least I have smoothed out the stupid rear cable mount though.
