|Stuff I use or have used: Avids (Tri-Align II and various Squealies, errr, Shorties), the Paul Neo Retro/Touring combo and Shimano LX and XT cantis. I've tried the Tektro Mini-Vs, but there are serious tire clearance issues with those. As for carriers, Avid Tri-dangles when I can scrounge 'em, Tektro carriers (triangular, but larger and less chi-chi than the Avids) when I can't. I see the Odyssey straddle rods on eBay from time to time, but never used 'em. I'd be interested in hearing about them, too.|

|ebay? really? in all this time i've been surfing ebay, i have almost never seen a pair of straddle rods for sale. i think maybe once did it see it. however, something that often piques my curiosity is the old powerhanger that suntour use to make before they went under. the guy selling it claims that it will increase the stopping power of your canti's and eliminates the carrier. how it's mounted is kinda beyond me from the picture, but i am interested.|

|I've had XT cantis, Squealy 4s, and I'm running Onzas now. I have a friend with a pair of the Odyssey straddle rods, but I'm not sure if he wants to sell them.
Onza Chill Pills rock!
After that, Avid Tri-dangles or Brew Jugs.
