Does anyone have thoughts on the relative merits of these tubesets for a CX buildup on a bike with carbon fork and seat stays?

Thanks.

both good tubesets. see my above post for my opinions on carbon stays.
First pick a framebuilder, then decide on tubingseamus

Once you've decided on a framebuilder, ask them about tubing. They'll have opinions on a variety of tubing in terms of how easy it is to work with, how it rides, durability, ect. Different builders favor different tubing, and if you can afford to go full custom, a good framebuilder (thanks, Paul @ Rock Lobster!) will custom mix a tubeset to meet your specific needs. Many good steel builders offer this sort of work, and you won't be disappointed.

personally I think unneeded. US champ rode lugged steel. last 4 world Champs on Alu. Most mfr's build out of either of these 2 fairly no frills. Are we to assume we know better than the pro's and their framebuilders? or are we just rich and bored?
Have a builder - he uses both for CX.outofthesaddle

I think he prefers Focco - I'm leaning that way.
