Options for CX rig - $800 budget.outofthesaddle

I'm looking to pick up a new (to me) CX bike. I'm planning on using this bike for racing (C and maybe moving to B depending on how things go), commuting and as an "all arounder." So far I've found: (i) an '03 cross-creck for $819; (ii) a used Fuji in the classified for $850; (iii) Lemond Proad for $799. Does anyone have any thoughts on these or maybe some other options.

Jamis Nova for around $800 is a steal! nm2farfrwd

what size? I'm guessing by the comment about the 850 classifieds a 56. there's a sweet ibis (56 I think) in the classifieds here for 760 or so (better spec and sweet steel, botique caveat, more of an all rounder as well), a nice 56 Haro Easton Bike (Ultegra) on ebay (not the first listing) wait for the end and buy for $580. there's a cross check for 650 in the Rbr's as well and a 54x56 All Ult. CrossCheck for $475 right now.
IMHO in Order
Ibis (more all around plus swanky small norcal mfr god rest their soul)
Haro (more a race bike)
Cross Check (no offense, nice bikes just heavy and he wants to race)

Right on the size - road tt is 57. Been looking for 55-56 tt on CX bike. I'm insterested in a steel bike and I saw the Ibis but I was concerned about buying dented tt "sight unseen." How heavy is a cross-check? Does anyone know the weight of the stock bike?
