|Does anyone know about the Bonfire? You can't read anything on the website. The bike looks pretty good and has alot of highend parts.
Also has anyone else purchased a bike online? I'm a little concerned not being able to ride it and take look at it without before buying it.
And last question I'm 6ft and the bike is a 57.
Frame/fork - Empella Bonfire. Campy Record - hidden headset. Dura Ace - front/rear derailuers, bottom bracket, chain. Ultegra -STI levers and crankset. XT cantis and Tektro top mounts. Ritchey Pro Logic bar in 3T Zepp stem with Ti hardware. Sella Italia gel saddle with Easton EC70 post. Wheels are prototype Maguro Compact Pros - deep v w/24 spoke front and 28 spoke rear in a paired spoke design with sealed bearing hubs. Tires are IRC XC's with xlite tubes. No pedals.
Any help you can give me would be great.

|Yeah its the the same one. I went out to cxworld and looked at the chart but honestly I have no idea what I'm looking at. I'm 6" and I wear 34 inseam, I was told I needed a 58 on a road bike (Specialized Allez)and a 56 on a trek xo1 and a Cannondale cross so I'm assuming that it should fit.
Thanks again, I really appreciate everyones advice.

|Is 57 the Center to Top measure? I always call mine a 63cm but it could be a 59cm(c-c). I am pretty sure both Trek and Cannondale use the c-c method. Where you fitted by a shop? or did the guess based on your height/pant size. I know Wrench Science and Competitive Cyclist have fit calculators on thier sites which might help. However the 57 does sound about right.
See my post on general for my opinion of the bike.

|I'd say they measure to the top, like I said, my IF is a 54, and there's no way my Empella is a 57 C to C. It's got to be measured C to T. I'll try to ck it at lunch an post a reply.|

|I think a 57 by empellas measurement may be too small for you. Empella 57 equals a 53 C-C ST and a 54.5 TT with 79.8 of standover (31.5") Being 6' w/ 34 inseam would put you at the leggy side so it might fit if you have a long post and stem. Personally I think you need a bike with about 56-57 of TT length. Most cx bikes would measure 57 or 56 for you but Empellas sizes run smallish. They compensate so you buy close to your road size. In empellas I'd guess you at about a 58 or 59. I'm 6'4.75" with about a 35 inseam (long body) I ride a 61 Road, 58-59 cx and if I owned an Empella it would be a 61. Hope that clears things up.|| |
