Does anyone have any experience with the Strange V-brake? (Yes, that's really the name...) It's a V-brake that's compatible with road levers without using any cable device. You can see them on Peter White Cycles website. If you're using them, what levers are you using, and how's performance?

Yikes! Cool idea, but I wish Avid or Shimano would make something like that at a lower price. There's got to be a market for it.

for my small cross bike because there isn't enough room to run a cable hanger in the rear. I ended up choosing the Tektro mini-v instead of the Strange brakes based off of cost - $25/pair opposed to $200/pair. Although the mini v's are a little cheesy, they seem to work well.
