QUESTION HERE. I RIDE A 54 ROAD BIKE,SO IS THAT WHAT SIZE CROSS FRAME I SHOULD HAVE. I GOT A NEW ROAD BIKE AND WANT TO LOOK FOR A CROSS FRAME AND USE THE OLD PIECES. ALSO WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES IN THE 2 STYLE FRAMES.THANKS

cross bikes due to higher BB's and bigger tires run 'tall'. most likely you will be on a 52C or so cx. find one that has a similarr TT length to your roadie. cx geometry is a little more relaxed (for dirt descents) than a road bike. stays tend to be a tad longer (tire clearance and stability) you will need more standover to protect the jewels.
