Don't forget about the WoodTick series (I think that's what its called). Looks like that series will be a bit north and west of the above-noted.

Wood Tick won't happen for another year.

We got no joy in Rockford last fall so I'm kind of looking at the WI series as a fallback. Looking at the photos, the courses seemed pretty tame compared to the two series I've done in the past - Rockford and St. Louis (Queeney Park).

Have you done WI and Rockford? How would they compare? I'm asking because I'm on a singlespeed and need to bring the right gear.

Thanks,

ALex

Have not done Rockford. I have only done the Milwaukee area races and Cambridge (Cam Rock Park).

These courses are fast, flat (relatively speaking), and the singletrack you might encounter is tame. The singletrack in Milwaukee is a bit more technical than Cambridge.
IMO these courses are pretty easy and I have only been racing cross for the past 3 years. Last year, barely at all. All run-ups are manageable w/no problems. A couple of the run-ups include barriers at both locales.

Other than that...they are fun. Close location too.

I can't speak on the Wood Tick series.
