|There is lots of great riding in the area. I lived in Menomonie for a semester and found tons of great back roads for road riding. I never did find much for trails...but I moved back home in May after the semester ended.
I would bet that the 'Cross racing sceen is pretty strong in the Twin Cities and possibly around Hudson. I currently live in Madison and there are some 'Cross races down here in October every year. There was a post about a series that was getting started in the Northeast part of the state...search this archive for "Woodtick Cyclocross series."
There is also some great mountain biking all over the state. Check out the "Largest State Mountain Bike Race Series" in the country at www.wors.org. If you're into the endurance thing, there's www.wemseries.com for the 12 hour races and www.teamsportsinc.com for the 24 Hours of 9 Mile Forest in Wausau, WI. Aside from the cold snow-less winters lately, Wisconsin isn't a bad place to live!

|Check out Wisconsin Cycling Association's website. Sorry no link. USCF sanctioned 'cross series starting in Sept/Oct sponsored by Bianchi, among others. Info is on the site but I don't think 2003 series info. will be up until June.
Fun little series but only about six races and all are in either Madison or Milwaukee area. Save that, I think last year they had one in Green Bay.
Wood Tick series will be new for next year so I can't speak on that.
Otherwise all the info in previous post is great.

|You may have stopped looking at this post, seeing as it is almost two weeks old now, but here goes anyway.
Links for helpful websites:
Wisconsin Cycling Association
Minnesota Cycling Federation
I have done races in the Wisconsin series, and my old man has done races in the Minnesota series. I think we both had a good time.
Hope this helps.
