Travel agent and barrel adjuster installation...(6 posts)

Travel agent and barrel adjuster installation...Farmpunker
Mar 25, 2003 4:50 AM
Hello out there,
I'm in the process of building my new ride. I have a travel agent question:
How do you go about installing them? Does someone have the instructions? Could someone please give me a point by point walkthrough?
And I've got some jagwire barrel adjusters, too. No instructions with them, either. How are they installed? Where should I put them?
Thanks ahead of time.

I just installed a set of Travel Agents (referred to from here forward as TA) on my mtn crossbike conversion.

I do not have the instructions, but it is not very difficult.

1. There are two holes where the brake cable can enter the TA. One hole, the outer, is used to simply replace the noodle that comes standard with vbrakes. Since I think you are using them to accommodate vbrakes and road levers, you need to use the inner hole.

This hole will route your cable through the assembly. Then, the cable should enter a small hole drilled in the bearing. Continue to route the cable around the bearing until the cable feeds out of the bottom of the TA.

I have attached a VERY simple picture that I think will be helpful.

They are a bit hard to get dialed in, but work well once you have. Good Luck
