HELP. Bike outside is rustingkiwisimon

Almost embarressed to post this but, since getting married and having a child arriving soon my bike has had to go outside(no garage or luck up available). Recently here in Japan its been snowing a lot and even though I have it covered I"m finding the bolts and chain and starting to corrode. I"ve oiled .WD40ed and greased but find things are still turning brown. Nothing extreme but I was wondering if anyone out there had any advice to slow the process down? Thanks in advance
Simon

Forget WD40, and try a thicker oil. Are you at least covering it up with a tarp or plastic garbage bags?

have it covered with a full bike cover. I think the salt on the roads here is contributing to the quick corrosion. Will try a thicker oil and as most of the snow has melted will totally strip and scrub off all rust spots before giving it a full coat of oil again. thanks and tail winds
cheers
