|I was looking at the Bontrager CX bar on-line, and it's interesting to me as it uses a MTB stem clamp diameter. I have more random MTB stems lying around than road stems, and think it would be a good option for me (more stem choices, with no money spent).
I currently run a Ritchey WCS bar which is significanly lighter than the Bontarger (50g, going buy their claimed weights), but otherwise fairly close both in reach and drop to the Bontrager.
Just curious if others run a lightweight road bar (the Ritchey claims to be 210g) on a cross bike, and if anyone worries that maybe they're not stong enough to last long?

|as a resident cx heavyweight I personally avoid all weight weenie parts on cx bikes. This is one place you don't want failure. 50 G is just a shade under 2 ounces, so is that weight savings worth your peace of mind? your call.|
|yeah, that's what I was thinking (nm)||laffeaux|
