Brazing canti mounts(2 posts)

I'm thinking of having a set of canti mounts brazed onto an older steel frame I have. I love the way if fits and rides, but it needs better brakes for what I would like to use it for(cross style singletrack). I've heard of people having them brazed on, where to they have it done. Anyone in the midwest have any local ideas?

If you're near Michigan, check out Quiring Cycles located near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Scott Quiring has quite a history with 'cross (former top-10 national 'cross guy, I believe), and he builds his own frames...he also builds frames for other companies. I actually just picked this project of mine up from Scott yesterday after he welded it up for me.

One other place to check with would be Bob Brown Cycles in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Hope this helps,

Craig
