|My race season has ended and I am trying to evaluate equipment and changes I may want to make for next year (got to do something to fight off the boredom). This year I raced on bars that were 1 size (2cm) larger than I ran on my road bike. The bars were otherwise identical (same brand and model). The theory I guess is the wider bars give greater control, and allow better breathing than narrower bars. Since its cross aerodynamics shouldn't be such a big consideration (or should it, I seem to spend a lot of time time trialing).
Anyway wanted to hear what size bars others ride in relation to there road bars (same size, 2cm wider, 4cm wider, different shape or drop) and why.
Thanks in advance.

|2c up 46 road 48 cx. quite happy with it. yes aerodynamics not a factor, especially when compared to control and breathing.|| |
