Triple to double Cyclocross conversion....thatsmybush

Have ultegra triple currently looking to switch to a double (I know that I don't have to but I just want to.) What needs to be swapped out. Also If I were to look at a rear dera. that could fit a larger rear cog set (mtb rear 9 sp to 9 sp) is shimano xt, xtr, etc. compatible with the sti shifters etc.

thanks

you'll probably need a narrower BB as you'll have one less chainring. Yes, Shimano MTB derailleurs work with STI. nicely.

Drop the inside chainring and then replace the middle to a 38T and the outside to a 46 or 48T. Then get a BB with a spindle for a double.
