RL Cup #3 photos have been posted.

Our own Shelly Whisenhant raced the Elite Women's race. She got a bad start but worked her way up to 7th place before flatting. She hung tough to finish in 14th place. Carmen D'Alusio won handily. Gina finsihed in 2nd and was Overall winner

Frishy had a bad crash about midway through his race. He looked to be in pain, but continued on. Wells won the race and the overall.

This photography stuff is getting to be kind of fun. Amazing what a little digital camera can do these days...

Did Gina Hall have the series wrapped up before the last race? Why did Carmen D'Alusio go off on her own instead of helping Gina wrap up the race series?

Too bad about Frishy...
Thanks for the pics Sabine, it seems like it would have all gone unphotographed without you! The only pics of the races I've seen are yours on cycling news and here!

Gina won the first two races and would have to have a relatively bad finish to lose the overall.

Gina and Carmen worked very well together. Their efforts reduced the front group. Only Rachel Lloyd was left. Carmen and Gina traded attacks and Carmen finally got away. Gina sat on while the others chased. Then came around at the finish. Perfect teamwork.

Abbiorca was there taking pics too, but they had a problem at home which is delaying their pics. There were lots of other photographers there too with their big fancy cameras, but maybe they were film cameras and take longer. I felt so inadequate with my little digital cam, but at least its quick!

What kind of digital camera are you using? How's the lag between pressing the button and the picture being taken? Thanks.

I chose it because it was the smallest camera with a large optical zoom (8x)

I don't know what the lag time is. I never owned a digi before this so I don't know whats relative either. Its not bad, not bad enough to really hinder me now that I'm used to it.

Sabine--what kind of digital camera are you using?
Hey TrishSabine

See my Olymous post above.

I love this camera. Small but still 8x optical. Of course, being so small, the optical quality of the zoom is a little compromised, but it works for me.

We get to meet Cathy this weekend!

How was Cathy's visit? She seems REALLY excited about cross!

I will reread your post. Your photos are spectacular! I am "going digital" after I buy my cross bike later on in the year, so that I don't have to scan my photos in anymore!
