|Ive got a standard front suspension mtb, what changes would i need to do to make it uci cyclocross legal? I know tires have to be smaller (is it 1.5"?) and bar ends are a no-go. Do i need a drop bar? The suspension fork has to go to right?

|no bar ends, the rest can stay. It only has to be UCI legal to do a UCI race. If it's a regular USCF race then just take off the bar ends, thinner tyres and a rigid fork will help but is not necessary.|

|pretty sure for a uci race you need drop bars and tires under 35s|

|..Im not doing any world cup races... while you are right IM not going to be doing anything but uscf races, i was curious what it would the requirements would be to make my bike a "real" cx rig. I did check the UCI page, but it description of cyclcross seems to pertain mostly to managing the race "must be showers within 500 meters of finish line (not that ive ever seen that)"

|Climbo had showers within 500 feet of his race.
Well, more of an olympic size pool bath tub, but we still had the opportunity to "clean up" on every lap!
