I'm curious what you'd use. I'm 6-5 with a 35" inseam, ride about a 62cm. I'll be looking for a SS cross rig soon, prolly next season(kelly's are looking pretty sweet.). I use 180's on my 29"er SS's, but on them the idea is more for grunt than for spinning, kinda the opposite of a cross bike. Would 175's cut it for me on a cross bike, or should I look for 180's for the cross too?

BTW, I use 175's on my geary roadie....

thanks
Marty

I'm using 175s on my SS 'cross bike, but I'm only 5'6". FWIW, I also use 175s on my SS MTB, but use 170s on my fixed-gear road bike.

With your height and inseam, and based on your current bike's crank lengths, I'd recommend 180s.

I am only 5'7 and ride raceface 175's. I would think that using the same length, 180mm, as your MTB SS would do the trick.

I'd go 175 as longer crank might hit on things in tight stuff
