|This may be a silly question but I am new to cross and researching my first cross bike. What is the usual range for standover clearance?|

|I'm riding with 3 cm of clearance on my present bike but thinking about getting another frame with 4 cm of clearance. The tough part is getting the right TT length while maintaining the desired clearance.|

|I'd say 3 inches at least. However, for me to get three inches on any stock bike, the top tube will be shorter than I like.
Thats why a lot of people have custom built frames. When researching the bikes, note not only the standdover, but the top tube length as well.

|my roadies are snug to me. My cx bikes have about 3cm of SO. I ride 60-61 roadies with 59TT's and 57-58 Cx with same TT's. Remember you also lose SO in BB height and taller tires|| |
