If you are still coming to town this coming weekend the next race is not going to be at Queeny. It will be at Sioux Passage Park in North County. Sunday was a fun course with off camber turns on a course that was wet and muddy. Next week will be a different course but hopefully just as fun. For info on the race go to http://bigshark.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=71

Apparently the Park Superintendant wasnt happy with the damage we did Sunday and we are not welcome back. There is now a desperate search for a venue for this weekend. Stay tuned.

I'm so exasperated....Rockford, now St. Louis!!

It's ok for the drug dealers to use public parks, but not amateur athletes!!!

I hope things work out for Big Shark.

We apparently have a real bike advocate in the Parks Dept and have managed to secure a new park for this weekend. It will be at Spanish Lake County Park. I've never been to the park Alex so I cant give a gear recommendation. From the pictures I've seen it doesn't look real hilly. Some info on the park is here http://www.co.st-louis.mo.us/parks/spanish.html

Spanish lake is a superb venue for cross. If it's dry there is plenty of grass, a monster steep short hill, plenty of wide fire road, excellent off-camber stuff to negotiate- can't wait! If it's wet there is an excellent loop that is wide open fire road in an oval, with a rough rutted gravelly climb back to the start and no chance for trail/lawn damage. We sometimes have MTB races there and cross racers use their cross bikes and do OK. W/o the singletrack, the cross bikes will rule the day.

check the photos from last week's race at Sioux Passage Park
