Tektro mini Vbrakes for Road levers, anyone try these?Ash

Has anyone tried these yet for Cycocross.

$18 for the pair looks pretty good.

They feel a little squishy but have loads of power. The biggest problem I forsaw with them was that they still had to be set fairly close to the rim. Much closer than cantis. The cable that stretches across comes close to the tire so no running really large tires. They were fine with 35s.

I have a set. The mate well with my campy centaurs. I got my custom builder to raise the bosses to accept these mini V's. Lot's O powa but the clearence between the cable and tire may be lacking if you go above a 35 mm tire. for the price they are fantastic.

Why did you have to raise the bosses? My frame has already been completed and sent to the painter. Do yo think I'll have problems getting the brake pad set right with normal bosses?
