Looking for any info on the IRD cross frame. Has anyone ridden one? Thanks.

The IRD frames are made in Tawian to IRDs specs. They ride nice, very stable. The tolerances aren't real tight. I was able to tap my headset in with a plastic hammer. Also the paint is kind of thin. I like the one I have. But it looks like I will be wrenching instead of riding this year. My IRD is hanging in the shop half stripped for parts by my team riders. I'd be interested in selling my frame. 54cm black. Paul

Thanks for the info Paul. I recently purchased one on the recommendation of my LBS, was looking for a reasonably priced frame in a small size (42). Didn't have many options. The bike is a 2nd bike to my road, primarily to be used for dirt roads in the mountains and riding around town. So far, I like it, just didn't know much about it, and obviously didn't have many to test ride! (BTW, the paint is a little thin).

It's the perfect frame for what you want. I put big 42mm Ritchey ZED Cross tires on mine. With the big tires it handled really well in the singletrack. I think you'll like it. Paul
