I was in the shop yesterday when I spied a road bar / stem setup just sitting atop a box. When I glanced at it, I noticed... top-mount levers!
I immediately asked who's they were, and was told a guy had them come on his new bike. He decided he didn't like the bar / stem / levers, so he traded them in towards something else. I asked the owner what he'd want for them, and got them for $35. I was fairly happy.

Anyone have any idea what these might have come on / who makes them?

Here they are all ready to go. They seem to do just fine. I have never used a set of top-mounts before, but they will both lock up the wheels. I guess that's all I can ask, huh? ;o)

They are Specialized brake lever extensions. I have some on order. I have the same bars as you. How do they work/easy to install?

They were soooooo easy to install. I was kinda worried about it, but they went on like a dream.

Like I said, they will lock up the wheels, so that is good enough for me. The rear is kinda mushy, but it was kinda mushy before I installed the top-mounts, so that's no big suprise.

The only thing I wasn't happy about was that you can't put them on the bulge section of the bar. But again... For $35 I was thrilled to get them. =)

I think they are the best cycling upgrade I've made in a loooooong time.
