|I just got the Redline Radius cantis and they suck...HELP||dcm311|

|I have them properly setup--checked by two experienced mechanics. Pads are the red kind, and they might be the root of the problem. The front is decent and the back terrible. Anyone have these brakes and experience the same problems. Oh yeah, I forgot to write what the problems were. The pads contact solidly and begin to stop the bike, but I squeeze and squeeze and it's very hard to slow down very quickly.

|I had the same problem. I took mine off and put my STX cantis back on the bike.
Other people have had luck with changing the pads and playing with the cable angles. I have ridden a bike that had these brakes and they actually worked well. Low straddle wires helped along with good quality pads.
I have zero problems with my canti's and will not bother with any other brake now.

|Sand them suckers! make sure they are toed in a little and sand them down a bit. I love kool stops and have had great luck with them. I have a set of yellow cool stops that I had to sand a tad...now they work fine. Clean the rims as well. try all this before you go postal!|| |
