Hi,

I think that this would be the right forum to ask the following question. Does anyone know if the Dura Ace Bar Cons can be used in friction mode for seven speed? I am upgradeing my old touring / comuting / everyghing bike from 7 speed to 9 nine spee peice by peice. The shifters have died and they are the first to be switched over. I have a rear hub and all i have to do is relace it but that will take some time.

Nashbar has a pretty good deal for them right now at $46 with 20% off.

Thanks
John

yes they can. Left (front) shifter is friction. Rear has a switch. Yes a good deal, too bad I'm all covered.
