Older Road Frame v. New Cross framegiantxc

I have an old Trek 660 that I'm considering turning into a cross bike. Any major sizing/geometry differences that would make this a bad idea?

Thanks for the advice

check previous posts on the subject. cx bikes tend to have more slack geometry, higher BB's and wider tire clearance (plus canti bosses) most road frames don't make the best converts. If your old trek is a tourer with canti's and room for wide tires you may have a chance otherwise forget it. There are plenty of frames you can buy (new or used) that will be better and about the same price as having brake bosses put on your existing roadie, and if it's aluminum will be next to impossible to do.
