I just picked up some Mr. Grumpy's for my IF.
Does anyone have any experience on how to put these
puppy's together? Pictures would be great, I down loaded the instructions
from SRP but they don't have any pictures really.
Thanks,
Rick

no close up but this photo shows a little of the set-up.

It's fairly easy once you visualise it. Most things only go on one way so you can't mess it up in theory.

The brake arms go in to your post with the spring loaded in to the small hole on the back of the arm and then in to the hole in your post, screw them in. Just make sure you get the srpings in the right way. After that you slide the brake pads in and clamp them down, put the straddle wire through and your done.

If you get really stuck I can take a close-up photo tonight and post it here.

Thanks for the reply, I think it's the stradle cable thing I'm having a hard time visualizing,
They didn't come with stradle cables....it's that stradle cable roller thing the cable goes through??
A close-up pic would be excellent.

that's weird, it should, mine did. You should be able to get them at the LBS if you need them right away. You basically put the non-roller end through the hole between the washers in the brake arm and clamp it in there, the roller end loops over, through the cable hanger and slides in to the "groove" on the other arm. From there, once you have everything else attached you can adjust the tension on them.
got some pics for you - hope it helpsclimbo
