Proven CX tires on road bike?DanL

Hi. I tried Ritchey SpeedMax 35s, as recommended by my friendly shop, but the tire was both too fat and too tall. It would make for an even better workout, but....
Anyone out there have real experience with a tire that works on a road bike? I'd love to hit the dirt this fall. Thanks much.

Vittoria Tigre clinchers in 700x27c are pretty narrow and should work on most road setups. They worked on my Waterford before I got my cross bike.

i understand that most road bike stays will except a Bontrager AC CX 30/32 pretty well.
Vredestein Campo 700x28 's might fit. (nm)climbo
