|BIGGEST Cross tires made??||NeedySpeedy|

|I'm trying to locate some big cross tires to put on my 29er mountainbike for races. I'd like to get my hands on a pair of the Ritchey ZED Cross Pro 700x42 tires, but Cambria bike says they are no longer made and Web cyclery says they are on back order. Does anyone know where to get these tires?
How about something similar? I've searched, but have been unable to find anything.
Any help is appreciated!

|I'm running a Smoke in front right now on my Volpe (rode 17 miles on it tonight) and it's awesome. Very aggressive tread. Gives a pretty cushy ride at 40 psi, and so far I haven't pinch flatted. I got it at one of my local bike co-ops for $30, but I can't speak for online availability. I measured the actual width at 38/45mm (casing/tread) at 40psi on my 22mm rims, BTW.
If this is a mountain bike, can't you just run a "real" 29 inch tire? WTB makes the NanoRaptor (fairly slick) and MotoRaptor (more aggressive) in 29x2.1" sizes. I believe IRC makes something too. I'm pretty sure WebCyclery carries all of these.

|Yeah, I have a set of true 2.1, 29" NanoRaptors and a set of 700c x 44 MutanoRaptors. What I'm trying to do is get a super light tire on there for smooth race courses. The Ritchey ZED Cross Pro was listed at 395 grams. (The Nano & Mutano are listed as 650 & 540) I havent seen the Smoke 45 yet.
Thanks for the info!

|Can't remember exactly, but I did weigh mine a few weeks ago and I think it was in the 550-600g range.|
