Any input on using these pedals for cross? I think having four sides would make entry easy, BUT since they are so small, they may be a harder target too.

Please let me know if you run them and your experiences.

Thanks
James

You've hit the nail on the head. has it's advantages and disadvantages. Flush mud like a demon, have 4 sides to enter, simple to rebuild but very little platform. Smaller platform means harder to hit and harder to pedal without engaging the cleat. The eggbeater is essentially a 4 sided Time ATAC so if you are used to a small platform go for it. Otherwise get the ATAC's

I love mine, and have no problem getting in and out at all. I run them on both my 'cross and mtn bike (one pair of shoes, the cleats are NOT SPD compatable). The cleats are soft, so expect to replace them once per season.

tried them on a MTB. felt like standing on a golf ball when not "clicked in" I have big feet and I like a little platform in case I have to descend without a foot or both engaged. But a great pedal regardless
