File Tread Tire Sources?(3 posts)

File Tread Tire Sources?triangleforge

I'm planning to give a try with a less-aggressive tread front tire this year for non-mud courses, something like the Tufo Prestige (the 28m file-tread model) or the old Clement Grifo 61. Any suggestions where to find these tires?

Cyclocrossworld.com started carrying the Tufo, but seemed to sell out of them last year very quickly, and hasn't stocked them yet this year. And Clement is gone, but I'm not sure if Challenger (which is building tubulars in Thailand using the Clement molds & model names) is making the Grifo 61.

Any leads?

Thanks!

The Tufo Prestige is an excellent tire. Try www.tufonorthamerica.com and if they don't sell direct then try www.crbicycles.com and they can order you some and ship them to you.

E mail me at mack.goo@verizon.net. I have one tire and I know of a source that has proved to be very cheap.
