Anyone ridden a Bontrager CX frame?laffeaux

I've been keeping my eyes open for a used Bontrager CX frame to build up - I'm yet to find a frame only in my size. I'm interested in the frame as I love the ride of KB's mountain and road bikes, and thought it would be a biek to get me into 'cross ridding. Has any of you guys put many miles on his CX bike, and how does it ride? How does it compare to more recent frames?

I recently sold a medium SC built Bonty. It rode very well for having a alu kinesis fork. I would have to give the nod to my Sycip 853 as a smoother ride for comparisons. I tried a conti 38c and the rear tire rubbed. Maybe 4.5 lb frame?

The med seemed a bit small for me. 5'11" 32" inseam. Here were the specs I measured:

center bb - tt 19.75 inches
center bb - seat post binder 21 inches
effective tt 22.5 inches
stand over @ seat post 30.75 inches @ headset 32.5 inches
center bb to ground 11.5 inches

Good luck Eric

I'd be looking at a large frame as I'm 6'0" with a 34.5" inseam.

Funny you should mention the Sycip, as that would be my first choice, but at $1275 for the frame and fork, I can'f afford it right now (or ever if my wife finds out what it would cost).
