| Salsa bell Lap questions | Colin_S May 29, 2002 4:09 PM | | Hi,
I want to get a set of bell lap bars for a new bike. Anyway, I ordered a pair of 44cm bars from QBP, but the bars I recieved said 42cm on the bag. So, to get 44cm bars do I need to order 46cm or are Salsa bars just measured differently?
Thanks.

Or perhaps some miscommunication you order 44 cm thinking 44cm c-c but the person taking the order hears 44 cm o-o (outside). Anyhoot doulbe check. Hope this helps, Eric |
| I seem to remember | Steve_O May 30, 2002 6:50 AM | | I seem to remember that these bars are measured center-to-center. That may have something to do with the QBP issue. I have a set of 44cm on my bike and I always felt that they seemed slightly smaller then traditional 44cm bars I have used in the past... |
| re: Salsa bell Lap questions | soulFire May 30, 2002 12:31 PM | | Bell Laps are measured c-c between the hoods. Each side flares out about 3cm - so a 44cm bar would be about 50cm c-c at the ends. I have a pair of 46cm's and they're about 52cm c-c at the ends. I don't have the bars with me or I'd give exact measurements. BTW - The bars are for sale (or trade for some WTB Dirt Drops), only been used three times. Email if interested at soulFire@singlespeed"NOSPAM".net (remove "NOSPAM").
