|Macgoo's "who are you?" thread inspired me to get a picture of myself from one of my riding buddies. This is on Mount Royal in Montreal on Easter morning. In case you're windering, I do have short legs... I'm also standing in a mud-filled depression.
Since this picture was taken, I ditched the bottle cage and started using a camelback. The experience of sucking down caked grit and horse-doo every time I took a swig sinally got to me... that and the shouldering thing.

|Here's a race pic of me from the 24 Hours of Adrenaline at Hardwood Hills in Barrie, Ontario. I'm racing on my disc-only singlespeed. I am making the "move" on some poor, unsuspecting gearie....he didn't even know what hit 'em ;) |
I'm mainly a MTB racer, although I do a lot of road riding (strictly training, no racing) and I am building a custom fixed-gear/singlespeed cross bike for commuting and cross racing/riding in the fall.

|I'll get a pic posted when I have one. JRM is that Marsh Trail? I grew up in Sonoma and rode Annadel all the time. People just don't know how great that place is, though some trails would be alittle rough for a CX bike.
man does that make me homesick.

|My Z1 took a dive so i had to pull out the cross. It was real green and lush. Going back soon before it becomes brown and the heat oppressive.|

|Made the mistake of taking the mtb down that trail once. Had to walk most of it as the boulder field was just too much for a bike.

|Yes I think the Quarry Trail, parts of Lawndale Trail and I can't remember it's name but it is on the South west side would be a little too nasty for a CX bike. I snapped a MTB frame on the Quarry Trail back in the 80's (pre suspension) and have "lost" plenty of parts in that park. They didn't name the race The Rockhopper for nothing. Yes, dried out and oppressive heat...you can always take a dip at the Lake(s) when it gets too bad. The new singletrack on the North Side is all a blast. Such a gem that place.|

|This was me at the Boulder Roubaix a couple Sundays ago. It's basically a dirt road race. Unseasonably warm weather, hard, bumpy as crap course. I did OK, not great.|

|Agreed... and we're a pretty good looking bunch of people, too. Come fall, me and a buddy are planning to hit some of the New England races. I'd like to meet some of you.|

|I mostly lurk here but post occasionally. I spend more of my time on mtbr.com; however, I built up a cross bike this year and hopefully plan on some races in the fall.
For now? I use it in place of my road bike.
