Anyone know of a brand of booties that I could wear over shoes with spikes? It's kind of cold up here.

I tried some strap on toe protectors with my road bike at the end of the year they were a pain, I wouldn't recomend them. What I ended up doing was taking an old pair of tube socks putting them over my shoes and slicing the bottom for my cleat. After all this I wised up and bought the shoes I want to use for cross 2 cm bigger and know I just double up my socks, I've had no problems staying warm.

If it is that cold where you live buy some cold weather shoes. Both Gaerne and Sidi make high top insulated cross/mtb shoes that will stop the foot freeze. Performance Bike has them both on sale right now. Otherwise get the neoprene shoe covers and cut a couple holes for the spikes. Use the sidi spikes as they are longer and narrower which means you'll need to make a smaller/less likely to rip hole in the boot and the additional length will still give you some grip with the bootie on. You lose all the tread on the shoe though so all you'll have are the spikes for traction. I'd break down and buy the shoes.

or go to a fishing shop and buy some GoreTex wader sox. They have fine insulating/weather stopping capabilities.
sorry forgot about that one.

JLo got some kickin' bootie (no - wait ....... that's booty) Never mind.

And what's that guy with the strap on? I would keep that to myself!

oh yer freakin' killing me! great with the humor, it can get so damn serious in here. I'd use JLo's booty to keep my feet warm, would be hard to pedal...oh well.

I made a comment once about King Hubs sounding like hooking a 700 lb Marlin (they do) and some people got all bent out of shape. Hell to me it's a compliment, I guess some cyclists have no other activities
