Santa Cruz makes a CX frame?(3 posts)

Santa Cruz makes a CX frame?ToddF

I was at Nationals this weekend and saw a handful of Santa Cruz 'cross bikes. I knew they had a road frame in their lineup, but the CX was a surprise. At first I thought I was mistaken, but then I saw a few pictures of Alison Dunlap's bike. http://www.velonews.com/race/cyc/articles/1670.0.html There's nothing on the Santa Cruz website, or anywhere else that I could find. So what's the story? Are they coming out with a frame in the future, or are these just re-badged something-elses?

I saw them too, looked nice. I would imagine that they are making them for the team members. They are sponsoring Dunlap's road team next year so I imagine they are made for the team just like Fisher made some for his riders to compete with in the last few years. Palo Alto riders had them also so I wouldn't imagine they'd have a reason to use another frame with the Santa Cruz stickers on them.

Santa Cruz doesn't make a X frame, could be in the works down the road. The team just put SC deacls on the frames, must be part of a sponsrship thing.
