|Vervecken wins SuperPrestige 2||climbo|

|The man dominates over here and it seems to have done him some good. He winds over Nijs and the rest of the pack well behind. With Tim Johnson just off his pace in 2 races in the US, we might come away with a great result in Zolder next year...|

|Vervecken and Nijs were in a league of their own, pulled an incredible gap behind them.
The course had lots of dry-grass winding 180 degree corners, a long paved straight and a few steep and twisty hills.
I tried to follow the begian fasttrain, but these guys are simply on the limit (of what's possible for a 70kg rider). I am 84kg and had to say goodbye, even before the next straight.
Great to be in the same race, though. I was lapped after 7 laps for me, 8 for them. By the end of the season I hope to be strong enough to stay on the same lap, so I'll have to improve some 3 minutes over a 1-hour race. I am really inexperienced in 'cross, so I think there's still a lot of room for improvement, technical and conditional...

|to even be lapped only once by them I would say is no mean feat. Well done, I hope you get that extra 3 minutes !! Tell us what happens next race too.|

|Normally they do rank me. Just after the race I saw a list up to 30th, I guess I was 31st to 33th or something.
Something that holds me back in 'cross is backache, kinda low, the usual spot...
What to do? Switch to 34's? Longer/shorter stem? Higher bars? Suspension seatpost?
Or just simply go to the gym to strengthen the back?
In mountainbiking, hardtail, I hardly ever have problems.

Back problems? I'd say hit the gym and get stronger there. Nothing much you can do about taking a beating even with a different position. About the only thing that might help is to raise your position a little so you're not so bent over but that may not be what you want so....hit the back exercises.
