I am installing canti brakes on a frame that does not have canti cable stops. I have a little washer-type thing that attatches to the steerer to serve as a cable stop for the front, but I am looking for something to do for the rear stop. I heard there are some things that work with the seatpost binder bolt that do the trick, or should I get a stop specially brazed-on? Any thoughts? Thanks.

My old cx frame had a y shaped stop that attaches to either side of the seat bolt. Works fine, if fact handn't ever given it a thought till you mentioned it. I would get one of those as the "cheap and simple" fix.

Another design I've seen is similar, but has one thin tab with a hole that slips between the ears of the seat collar, with the binder bolt slipping through the hole in the tab.

Cheers!
