Ritchey Trail Mix Question(2 posts)

Here's the answer before the question: It really doesn't matter.

Here's the question: Which direction does one mount Ritchey "Trail Mix" 700x35c cyclocross tires? It's got a center rib with little sawtooth patterns alternating on either side, kind of like this:

There's plenty of ad copy all over the tires, including the very techy words "Force Vector Analysis," which implies that someone spent a whole lot of time caring which direction these things spin... but no "Direction of Rotation" arrow like you get on lots of MTB tires, including (inexplicably) a set of 26" Ritchey slicks I use on my rain bike. Anyone have any offhand guess as to which direction to mount these tires?

I rode them for the first time this morning in a little pre-workday 'cross clinic some of the guys on my team put on and, of course, they did fine just the way I've got 'em on there, but I thought I'd ask...

I run them with the points of the knobs pointing in the direction of rotation. Dont know if this is how they were ment to face but they work great. The trail mix is a great training tire, long wearing and good speed on hard pack surfaces. A little heavy for racing but well worth the money.
