What bike? You don't post a picture of it here, nor do you say anything about your experiences on it so far.

Nothing to discuss.

Finally found it. Please critique for me. This bike no longer has grip shift. I put shimano barend shifters on it.
I'll post the other picture later.
it's very cleanMJ

They are Salsa Bell Lap bars. Quite the comfortable bars. And the shifters are old school Grip Shift I got on ebay. I had the bike on 7 speed because of the shifters, but because I got barcons, it's an 8 speed now. The Grip Shifts are great shifters, one just has to get used to them.

I thought the Poprad wasn't available as a frame/ fork only. Did you pick up the frame used, or did you just dump ALL of the stock parts?
you can buy just the frame from any dealeroffrhodes

Both my local dealers quoted me prices of about $600 for frame and fork.

I only got the frame/fork. All other parts were from on old road bike/mtb, and the wheels were built at www.foysbikeshop.com here in town.

where did you get that stem? How long? How much rise?

I'm looking for something exactly of the sort!

That'd be a Profile BOA stem. 40 degree rise. Performance has 'em in 90, 105, and 120mm extensions for $30. I'm not sure what other sizes they're available in.

It's a mtb stem, so it probably has a 25.4 clamp diameter. I've found with two bolt / removeable faceplate stems that I can get away with using a 26.0 bar with a 25.4 clamp, but I'm sure it's not the best idea I've ever had.

Thanks Ray, that's what I had figured.

I'm a bit leery of putting a 25.4 clamp around my 26.0 Salsa bars (which actually measure 25.8 or so, according to our micrometer.....)
