Buying new frame -- what to sell old one for...Colin S.

well, I've decided to get the Surly and sell my Conquest. Anyway, I don't know what my Redline frame will go for. It's the green 2000 Conquest, minus the decals and a few scrapes and scratches from an ill-designed bike rack. Anyway, aside from that and some faded paint around the decals, the frame is in tip-top shape. No dents, dings, or cracks. So, how much would this go for. I've had the frame just over a year and it hasn't been ridden very often -- third bike. Anyone here interested?

Try Ebay. I have sold 2 frames and got top doller. Both buyers were happy. Just post a pic and be honest about any scratches or dents. Put a reserve that is your absolute min. you will take. I would think you should be able to get at least 50% of what a new frame would cost.
What size?bk

If you do list it,make sure you list all relevant information. Nothing is more frustrating than not knowing some of the basics like the size of the frame. If you are going to list it on eBay, and you don't mind waiting a week or so to post it, try watching auctions for similar frames and see what they go for. That will give you a good idea where to set the reserve price (if you use one) or starting price. Best of luck.
