|There seem to be a few cyclocross bikes that come with shimano wheelsets, esp. the WH-R535. Does anyone have any experience with these. Look cool, but will the last? What about advantages over traditional wheelsets? Thanks for your input!|

|I have personally never tried them, but the problem with the Shimano type wheel (and Rolf), is that with so few spokes, the rim has to be heavier than a traditional rim. Some will say that a heavier rim will make a stronger rim, but I think it balances out because there are fewer spokes. The reason I mention the heavier rim is because in cross you are constantly decelerating and accelerating. Having a heavy rim isn't the best for this type of riding. Just my two cents. Good luck.
PS To answer your question, I don't see any advantages at all as compared to a traditional wheelset.
