|I'm trying to choose between an Ibis Hakkalugi, or Bianchi Axis, or Bianchi Cyclo-Cross frame. I'm not interested in the components as I will be building up the bike from the bare frame-set. For the most part I'm not really looking at the Bianchi Cyclocross frameset anymore, but if you've got something really good to say let me know. I've already taken into account the difference in frame materials, so don't bother posting on that either.
For those of you who don't know, the Bianchi Cyclocross frameset is NOT the same as the axis frameset. The axis is not normally sold as a frameset, but I work in a shop and can get it if I ask really nice.

|I don't have any particularly strong recommendation for this frameset, but I do have one. If you are interested in pics and a description, then click here. I made a mistake and selected too large a frame (58 cm) when I bought it, and this frame is not a lightweight. It was $550 when I bought it last year, the current price of $800 is too much. The paint and graphics are very pretty, and the canti cable stop at the rear is a nice touch. It would have been nice to have rack braze-on's though. I'm probably going to replace it with a Gunnar and sell the frame on e-Bay.|| |
