Cross Sizing?(5 posts)

Cross Sizing?JWC
Aug 5, 2001 12:09 PM
I am considering a venture into Cyclo-cross and am looking into some advise as far as sizing the frame. How much standover clearance should I have? Any comments on the Kona Jake the Snake?

Thanks,
Joe

Do ride a road bike? If so try going 1 size smaller than it is.

In Amsterdam, Presto is fairly upscale but good (and a couple of speedskating teammates work there), and I would also recommend Lohman. I don't know if either of these "do" cyclocross. Jan van Wijk (Wilhelmsparkweg 81) must be mentioned by virtue of proximity to my parent's house.

www.Bike2Build.com is my favorite, but they're not too near Amsterdam, about one hour to the south. It's more like a classic LBS going online.
Visit their site to get the best tubes in town the TUFO's are great!

Mammoet Rijwielen in The Hague. It's the place I work :-) . It's less than hour from Amsterdam, it's near station Holland Spoor in The Hague and then a five minute walk to the store (tops). Check our website www.mammoet.nl for a detail map/info, or e-mail me.
Hope to see you, ask for Richard.
