Anyone else found that the most important part of the break system are the pads? I would rather use my '97 LX cantis with Kool Stop eagles than some super-dooper avids with the p.o.s. pads that came with my '97 LX cantis!

they got that wiper thingy that helps set the toe-in and they come in several brake types, caliper, canti, and v-brake. I've got a set on the cheap canti's on my road bike and i can lock up both tires. another set of pads i've liked are the richey logic pads. they stop extremely well but are more difficult to set up. they have a tendency to rub the tire if a little out of adjustment.
