pedals for cyclocrossgoathead

Right now I'm running codas that weigh a ton. I was wondering what are good pedals for cyclocross racing. In no other form of racing is it more crucial to hastly clip into your pedals. weight is also a factor. I am ignorant about the different designs and was hoping that someone would enlighten me.
thanks, will

OR spds - they work fine and are a lot cheaper.

I very rarely disagree with people on message boards because I believe many things are just personal preference. I have used both spds and time pedals and there is just no comparison. Time pedals will win every time. You can also get the Time alums very inexpensively. I think spds pedals are very good, but I don't think they can compete with the performance of Time pedals.

Respectively,

Chris

I love to see all the guys that have SPD's stop to clean their cleats with sticks and screwdrivers because the mud doesn't let them clip in. I can barely see my cleats or the mech on the pedals through the mud, and somehow, they still clip in when you push on them. And they still let you out when you want, but only when you want.
