Proper cable routing on top tube of VooDoo Wazoo(2 posts)

Proper cable routing on top tube of VooDoo WazooTy

I need some directions on the best way to route the rear derailleur and brake cables on a 1999 Voodoo Wazoo. There doesn't seem to have any mounts for the rear brake. How do I use those two little stringer things on the side/top of the seat tube and how do I properly use the three (two on the front and one on the rear) cable housing supports on the top tube. 1st cx bike and unsure of how to route those cables. HELP! and thanks in advance.

Hmm... My 00 Wazoo routes rear der and break along the top tube. It has two cable guides along the top of the top tube near the front and two more toward the rear. There is the standard cable guide bridging the the seatstays for the rear canti brake and two more guides along the right seatstay for the rear der.

Sounds like you have the two on top of the top tube at the front and one at the rear. Don't know what your "stringer things" are though. Are they little tubes that route the bare cable down the seatstay?Sounds like your rear brake and der route along the top of the top tube also since you have the two in front. There should be something to route the cable along the right seatstay for the rear der. though. If you don't have the rear canti cable stop you may have to run V brakes. I think the 99 Wazoos may have been spec'd with V's.
